Ep.27 Finding a Writing Mentor and Asking for Help w/ Geoff Woods

Do you have a mentor? Someone who’s been where you’ve been and can help you learn from their mistakes? I don’t, and I’m glad I met Geoff Woods, because I saw that I was missing out. This is a different episode of Darken the Page because Geoff isn’t a writer, he’s someone who helps connect people and he’s fantastic and helping people find their ideal mentor. I got a lot out of this episode for myself, and I think you’ll enjoy it too. It will give you the courage to ask for what you want and get the help you desire, I know it did for me.

Meet Drew Gerald, he vomits out of his fingertips. In fact, he took 4 months just to write and came out with 192,000 words. I’m amazed. Not only that, but Drew plans on writing four volumes of the first book he’s writing, and the first book looks like it will be over 700 pages.

Writing Retreat Day 4+5: Feeling Complete, What I Learned [4 min]

Overall I felt like this retreat was a huge success, I got a lot of good work done and I was relaxed the whole time (really). Another unexpected outcome was I learned a lot about myself as a writer, which in the end I think was more valuable than anything I wrote.
